Back to File Formats section
Interface
Rich Desktop Client
: The application runs as a native application on the clients' desktop.
Web Portal
: The complete web application is hosted on servers at the Task Performance Group (TPG) Datacenter in Des Plaines, IL USA.
Enterprise Web Portal MegaExchange MCE
: The complete web application can be hosted either on the customers' Datacenter or TPG's Datacenter in Des Plaines, IL USA.
Secured Web Interface
: MegaXML© application is accessible on HTTP over SSL/TLS (HTTPS). Additionally, the application provides across the board authentication and customizable authorization facilities.
Real-Time Background Processing
: Document Processing is triggered by its receipt. As soon as a transaction comes in, it is automatically queued for processing. This considerably reduces the turnaround time for document processing over polling based methods.
Batch Processing
: The translator is scriptable and can be kicked off from a client created batch process.
Enterprise Application Integration (EAI)
: The application supports integration of the EDI and XML transactions into the customers' individual supply chain. This is done through the use of customized Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) adapters.
Thin Client
: The application is hosted entirely on the server side, allowing for client machines to be set up with minimal efforts. In most cases, the client machine will just need a HTML 4.01 compatible browser with reasonable CSS support (Microsoft© Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Opera etc.).

Logging Support
: All TPG MegaXML applications support extensive logging of all events happening in the system. The logging is completely configurable to allow event of different criteria (priority, subsystem, text match) to be filtered into different event sinks. For example, the critical events are logged in the Windows Event Log by default, and events requiring immediate administrative attention are emailed to the system administrator.
email Notifications
: The application has support for communication with operators and administrators through email messages. Users are notified via email for inbound EDI arrival.
Real-Time Event Notification
: Applications can be configured to send event notifications to administrators
.
Label Printing Integration
: The application supports integration with Label Printing systems for streamlining the order fulfillment process for the client organization.
Server Clustering Support
